Belize is a small Caribbean country about the size of Wales, but as a holiday destination it packs a huge punch. If you crave colour, culture, and exotic wildlife alongside active adventure, natural wonders, and mysterious ancient Maya ruins – then Belize is a great destination for you. Belize also offers sun-drenched tropical Caribbean white sands with world-class snorkelling & diving in the second-largest barrier reef in the world. On the mainland there are caves and cenotes to explore, amazing rainforest jungle teeming with wildlife and colourful birds, and great opportunities to experience and learn about local indigenous culture.

Days 1-2: USA
There are no direct flights to Belize. Fly out from the UK to the relevant USA hub airport (usually Miami, Houston, Dallas or New York); overnight at an airport hotel and continue your journey the following day.
Days 2-5: Orange Walk and Lamanai
Travel from Belize City to Orange Walk and Lamanai. 3-night package with accommodation, meals and included activities in a remote eco-lodge with access to stunning wildlife (chance to see jaguar), river kayaking, tropical bird watching, and a visit to the awesome ancient Lamanai Maya pyramid ruins sprouting from the jungle floor.
Days 5-9: Cayo District and ATM Cave
Transfer to the central Cayo District via a stop at the local bustling San Ignacio market and a visit to an Iguana conservation project. 4 nights in a rainforest jungle eco-lodge with included activities such as cave tubing, zip-lining, tours of ancient Maya sites, or exploring the fascinating ATM cave system with ancient Maya artefacts. You will see howler monkeys, toucans and exotic butterflies in the wild and can go trekking amongst scenic mountains, forests and waterfalls – and/or visit an indigenous Maya village to experience local colour, customs and food.
Days 9-14: Ambergris Caye
Transfer to the Caribbean coast via a Howler Monkey Sanctuary en-route. Take a water taxi or a 20-minute short-hop 12-seater flight to Belize’s Caribbean paradise island of Ambergris Caye and your quality beachfront boutique hotel. 5 days of Beach & Pool and Spa R&R amongst the warm ocean waters and tropical white sands of the Caribbean. Included in your stay is an iconic snorkelling boat trip to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley where you can swim with sea turtles, rays, nursery sharks, colourful reef fish and stunning coral.
Options to add locally a trip to the world-famous Blue Hole; sunset sailing; manatee and dolphin watching; and/or a side visit to neighbouring island Caye Caulker.

Transatlantic flights; any national park entry fees which have to be paid locally; drinks, gratuities and items of a personal nature; meals and optional excursions not listed as included; personal travel insurance; passport and visa costs (e.g. costs associated with obtaining an American ESTA visa waiver, if flying via USA).
We will book transatlantic flights for you in economy, premium economy, business or first class according to your preference.
Seasons and Climate:
Belize is a year-round destination although the best time to visit is the dry season between December and May. Hurricanes can occur as early as June but are most likely between September and November.
British nationals travelling on a full, valid British passport do not require a visa for entry to Belize. You should ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of arrival.
We arrange airport-hotel transfers and all internal transportation whether by land or small aircraft within Belize though our ground agents locally.
It is advisable to check your immunizations for Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid and Hepatitis A. If you have been to Africa within 3 months of arriving in Belize you may need to provide proof of vaccination against Yellow Fever.
Costs are subject to $/£ exchange rates. At present we are working on a current exchange rates of 1.2869 (as at 25 February 2020) although this is subject to change.
